Martha Gibson is an award winning Commercial Art graduate of Chowan College.  She is a freelance artist who works in various mediums and creates artwork from three studios (two in Virginia and one in her home state of North Carolina).  She has been painting professionally for 17 years, and enjoys painting every subject from pet portraits to large business murals.  She works mostly in watercolor and oils.  Her favorite subjects are local houses, and she has painted many historical landmarks at the request of owners and historians.  Her work is displayed in businesses, government offices, museums, restaurants and many private homes across the Southeast.  Her most recent work is displayed at A & G Art and Frame Gallery in Franklin, Virginia.
